Experience

My lifework is teaching. By day, a good portion of my work duties include counseling youth and families who require intervention, and providing behavior support at inner-city schools. Part of my time is also dedicated not only to working in the capacity of a motivational speaker to families and teens, but also to working as a guest lecturer on topics such as social justice, urban education, and family development at post-secondary institutions.Leveraging the skills I've acquired by graduating with a focus on urban education, I have instructed in family development, English, and social psychology. I truly have a passion for the work I'm engaged in, and I love teaching English as well as writing fundamentals. There are definitely times that I miss the classroom setting, which is why I'm so very much interested in providing tutoring services. All of the work I've been involved in focuses on self-empowerment, as well as self-care for young people and families. A published author, I look forward to using my skills and passion for talking and writing to help those I tutor.When I'm enjoying some down time, I do a wide range of activities such as reading, skydiving, yoga, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
